Menu 10

Posted 8:38 PM by Sarah in
So, to be completely honest there aren't a whole lot of days this week I'm going to be home for dinner. Monday I'm going to a baseball game, Tuesday I'm going to a BBQ for Ethan's PhD stuff, Wednesday I'll probably go out and get salads, I might scrounge up something here for Thursday and then Friday, Katie gets to town (WOO HOO!)

But, believe it or not, it's been over 2 months that I've done this blog, so I think now might be a good time to go back through some older recipes and revisit some of the tried but true. "What?!? Repeats?" You gasp? Well, if you can honestly tell me you remember each of the recipes I have posted, then I will apologize and never do it again (or at least not announce it at the beginning of the blog :P)

--And really, instead of complaining shouldn't you be grateful that even though I'm not going to be eating at home, I'm thinking of you and posting some suggestions for you to use?-- :)

Monday
Mandarin Orange salad (funny thing about this salad... I was talking to my mom on the phone telling her how much I love this salad, and she said, "Sounds good, can you send me the recipe," I responded "This is YOUR recipe mom")
Spicy Oven Fried Chicken

Tuesday
Lettuce wraps <-- so easy, yet they taste SO divine (I use turkey instead of beef) Sweet 'n Sour eggplant

Wednesday

This Middle Eastern dish is delicious with or without the french fries. If it's a light meal, then just the schwarma and the tomato-cucumber salad will do. If it's a bigger meal - then add the french fries (you can't go wrong with potatoes).
Thursday
Quinoa with black beans and cilantro (I rarely add the cheese to this dish and it's just as delicious - so if you need a break from cheese - I'd take it here)

Friday
Grilled Portabello Parmesan --> This looks like it should be delicious. Doesn't seem to be any tomato sauce... my curiosity is piqued.
Salad --> I would make a nice green salad with Italian dressing - or if you are being really fancy, make an Antipasta.

Looks good. I tried the baked fried chicken and it was good -- although I'd recommend following your recipe exactly. The few changes I made, didn't enhance the experience. See you soon

GASP!! Repeats?!?! Some of the repeats you posted were some of my favorites...I think I'll make the quinoa again.
